Our GriefShare team is joining forces with the team at First Baptist Church Oak Island. The GriefShare leaders of both churches are looking forward to working together. The first joint GriefShare group began on Tuesday, August 21st at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church. The group will meet for 14 weeks.
GriefShare offers support and encouragement to those who have lost a loved one (family member or friend), whether this loss was recent of years ago. GriefShare brings you together with people who understand your grief. Together we watch videos that give more insight in the grief process. We discuss what we have seen, but we do NOT make you talk. It is okay to just listen and learn.
For more information about our GriefShare program, or to sign-up for this group, contact us at email@example.com or call 910-278-9741.

Women Bible Study Group. Our Women's Bible Study will begin on Monday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m. and will meet weekly through October 22nd. The study will be led by Debi Pruitt, who has taught this study before in other settings. Debi will take you through the Book of Ruth from a different perspective. Come see the country, the people, and the God Ruth loves in a fresh way. The changes Ruth encounters, the mentoring from her mother-in-law, and the love affair with Boaz are not the only key points you will come to understand from the study. Debi's personal testimony of the pain of loss and changes will challenge, charge, and change those who attend. Bring your Bible and join us.

Starting on September 16th, we are excited to offer "Parenting, the Early Years", by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott.
Topic: This class will explore "10 biblical traits your kids will remember you for". "Children aspire to become like their parents. That is precisely why it's critical to be the kind of parent you want to be. What traits does your child see in you? Perhaps more importantly, what traits doesn't your child see in you that you wish he or she did? We are all looking for good parenting techniques for disciplining and motivating; but your child's character hinges on the traits you exhibit as a parent. Parenting is the most important calling you will have. But it's also the most rewarding enterprise of your life - especially when you are the parent you want to be." (Excerpts from "The Parent You Want to Be" by Drs. Les & Leslie Parrott. Zondervan Publishing House, 2007)
Format: DVD and Facilitator
Participants: Parents with all age children.
Contact the Director of Christian Education for more Information: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Disciples Class - Room 4
Topic: The Disciples class studies the books of the Bible, both Old Testament and New Testament. The current focus is on the New Testament "Book of Hebrews". F.F. Bruce wrote: "This is the book which establishes the finality of the gospel by asserting the supremacy of Christ - his supremacy as God's perfect word to man and man's perfect representative with God. More than any other New Testament book it deals with the ministry which our Lord is accomplishing on his people's behalf now. In a day of shaking foundations it speaks of the kingdom which cannot be shaken!" An ANCHOR for the SOUL. Please come and join us!
Format: Facilitator, Discussion, Application and Shepherd's Notes reference guide
