Our Christian Education program offers opportunities for Bible study and deepening our understanding of our Christian faith, that we may be better equipped to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. Our Sunday School classes are every Sunday from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. We offer classes for all age groups:
CHILDREN - Room 13
Topic: Our children are exploring the Christian faith through the Show Me Jesus Curriculum of Great Commission Publications. The goal of our children's program is to help children be followers of Christ in their daily lives.
Format: Instruction through various learning activities
Participants: Kindergarten through Grade 5
NEW ADULT CLASS - Room 3
We are excited to be offering the study "Parenting, the Early Years", by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott.
Topic: This class will explore "10 biblical traits your kids will remember you for". "Children aspire to become like their parents. That is precisely why it's critical to be the kind of parent you want to be. What traits does your child see in you? Perhaps more importantly, what traits doesn't your child see in you that you wish he or she did? We are all looking for good parenting techniques for disciplining and motivating; but your child's character hinges on the traits you exhibit as a parent. Parenting is the most important calling you will have. But it's also the most rewarding enterprise of your life - especially when you are the parent you want to be." (Excerpts from "The Parent You Want to Be" by Drs. Les & Leslie Parrott. Zondervan Publishing House, 2007)
Format: DVD and Facilitator
Participants: Parents with all age children.
Contact the Director of Christian Education for more Information: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
DISCIPLES CLASS - Room 4
Topic: The Disciples class studies the books of the Bible, both Old Testament and New Testament. The current focus is on the New Testament "Book of Hebrews". F.F. Bruce wrote: "This is the book which establishes the finality of the gospel by asserting the supremacy of Christ - his supremacy as God's perfect word to man and man's perfect representative with God. More than any other New Testament book it deals with the ministry which our Lord is accomplishing on his people's behalf now. In a day of shaking foundations it speaks of the kingdom which cannot be shaken!" An ANCHOR for the SOUL. Please come and join us!
Format: Facilitator, Discussion, Application and Shepherd's Notes reference guide
