Call to Worship                                   The Doxology
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
Praise Him, all creatures here below!
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host!
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost! Amen

Invocation and Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory,
forever. Amen

Hymn of Praise                      122     God, All Nature Sings Thy Glory

Confession of Sin
Heavenly Father, you have given us the light of your Word
which shines forth in the darkness of our world.
Yet, we confess that we have too often loved the darkness
because our deeds were evil.
We cling to our notion of personal autonomy
that we might justify our secret sins
and never let them see the light of day.
All too often we have done what you have forbidden us,
and neglected to be what you have called us to be
in Jesus Christ.
Father, forgive us, renew us, and remake us,
that we might reflect the image of Jesus Christ
in both our private and public lives,
and so be children of the light.
We ask this in his name. Amen.

(Period of Silence for personal confession and meditation)

Declaration of Pardon   (From 130:3-4)
If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
that you may be feared.
